The Brazilian Space Agency (AEB, http://www.aeb.gov.br), the Regional Center for Space Science and Technology Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (CRECTEALC, http://crectealc.org/) and the University of Brasilia (UnB, https://www.unb.br/), in partnership with the Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (RCSSTEAP, http://www.rcssteap.org/), the Beihang University (http://ev.buaa.edu.cn/) and the Aerospace Engineering Course in University of Brasilia (https://fga.unb.br/aeroespacial) are pleased to invite you to the Southern Hemisphere Space Technology Application and Education Forum, which will be held in Brasília, Brazil on August 21-25, 2017.
Event discussions include the advance of capacity-building initiatives geared towards the development of space applications, increased space awareness through educational training, and greater cooperation among COPUOS Member States. To be held in Brasília, Brazil, on August 21-24, the Forum should set the stage for the establishment of an alliance among UN centers, setting up an editorial board for a PSA.
Participation is open to space agencies’ staff, aerospace educators, students, professors, researchers and anyone with an interest in the topic of applications.
Divided in three parts, the forum already has confirmed the participation of leading authorities in Aerospace Engineering courses, such as coordinators from UFSM (http://site.ufsm.br/), UFABC (http://www.ufabc.edu.br/), ITA (http://www.ita.br/) besides educators and representatives from Beihang university and RCSSTEAP. An event hot topics focus on discussions about curriculum development for Aerospace Engineering courses.
